We are currently confronted with global epidemics of obesity and diabetes. To solve these issues in public health, we must immediately investigate creative instructional initiatives for clinicians and the general public. Physicians who consume a healthy, balanced diet and comprehend what this implies are more effective at coaching patients to modify their health behaviours.
This CME activity presents a pragmatic approach to promoting good eating for a wide range of medical conditions. Through the use of didactic films, illustrated scenarios, and interactive exercises, course participants will acquire the ability to prescribe well-established dietary habits and analyse impediments to good eating for patients and clinicians. By assessing personal eating practises and barriers to healthy eating, physicians will emerge from the course better positioned to promote long-term positive change in their patients’ food choices, while also having the chance to optimise their own nutritional health.
